Sleep

Polyphasic sleep is an idea that you can split your sleep in multiple short sleeps and get enough energy from 2-3 hours of sleep per day.

That is not scientifically proven, is unlikely to work, and can be dangerous. So better don’t do that.

  • the idea goes against our biology

  • there is no evidence any polyphasic sleeper has succeeded in setting up the regime, though we have many evidences of failure

  • most examples of great polyphasic sleepers in history are non-verifiable, many are verified to be monophasic

  • biphasic sleep is a better alternative (and actually works)
