📝XY problem is not technology-specific
XY problem is usually defined as people trying to solve very technical problems and asking disconnected technical questions.
I think XY is more widely applicable and people do that all the time in non-technical matters as well. They might not ask questions about solution but propose to implement one (without providing the context).
