đź“ťThoughts subvocalization is similar to subvocalization in rapid reading
From my Observations on thoughts:
Neither verbalization nor visualization are essential to understanding the thought. When I start verbalizing a thought, I already know how it’ll end.
In rapid reading, you try to break the habit of subvocalization—saying words you read in your head is not really necessary to understand them.
This is similar with thoughts. Most thoughts are subvocalized by default but it’s not necessary to understand them.
