The goal of the meetings is to sync with the subordinate on how they perceives their performance, do they have any issues at work, their general (non-task) status.
Use notepad instead of laptop (it gives a different feeling)
You shouldn’t have too much direct subordinates. 6-8 is a good number.
Once in 1-2 weeks is good. (once in 4 weeks is a max)
