Zettelkasten is a tool that allows breaking down a complex topic (into small atomic notes)—“dissection”—and rebuilding its structure bottom-up (with the Structure Notes). This structure can be novel and different from what is commonly thought.

As a consequence, it’s only worth adding notes that contribute to the topics you want to build structure for.
